Fridge Magnet- Handpainted

Hi All,
I am going to share few things which are part of family times ♥️ in Warli style in these days.
I would like to call these world challenging (Corona) days as "Family Days" in the most optimistic way. I pray things get back to normal and world to be in the best health soon πŸ₯° πŸ˜‡πŸ™.
Family time for any mom like me is having a kid around 😍. Mom is combing daughter's hair and a daughter is combing her doll's hair🀩😍 as a Fridge magnet.

Jamini Roy Inspired Jewellery

Hi Friends,
This post is about, challenging my creativity altogether in a different field of art. A week long idea has taken up a shape as shown below.

Yes, it is not a warli this time (smiley~~~) but a Jamini Roy inspired hand painted, hand woven necklace done by me. Before I write so many lines about my handmade project. I would like to dedicate this post to the great art legend Jamini Roy. He was one of the most significant and leading Indian painters of the 20th century. His simplicity and naturalness are reflected through his work. He developed a personal painting style which was inspired largely by traditional Indian folk and village arts. The Santhals, a tribal people who live in the rural districts of Bengal, were an important subject in his paintings.

So simplicity, naturalness and tribal art could be an attraction point for me to make such a miniature piece of art in the form of jewellery :).

I have chosen a Mother and Child theme from Jamini Roy's painting for pendant making. Off course, being a mother of two kids, I found such a purity and a sense of fulfillment to choose this topic as a start.

Being an Instrumentation Engineer, I always have affinity towards m-seal. Hence I have used white m-seal as a material for pendant making. It has got easy molding, fast drying ability which is useful for making any kind of molds.

I have used acrylics for painting, followed by mod-podge layers to save my hard work in future :). For necklace I have used silk thread. I love the natural, simple but yet royal look of silk threads.

So please write me about your opinions/any suggestions for this tiny piece of art.
